Actual Chapter 27 (lol)
“Christian?”
“You ok babes?”
“I thought you were coming over last night.”… “Hold on a minute.” I whispered to Rashaad putting my hand over the phone mic.
He rolled his eyes and turned away.
“Sorry, I had to sort out something. How about I come over tonight?”
Something to sort out? I'm not even going to ask. I just want everything to be nice. I don’t want to fight.
I know I'm turning into one of those girls who would take anything from their man, but now I'm starting to see why they are that way.
Atleast if I don’t create an argument there will be the possibility that we can sort things out. But if I act crazy, he’ll just leave and then there wont be any possibility of us working things out.
I just hope we can work things out soon.
“Ok, well if you cant make it tonight can you let me know please?”
“I’ll be there.” With that he clicked off.
Why is he acting like this? I haven’t heard from Miranda lately, I wonder if that’s why she’s being quiet, because she is getting what she wants.
I'm not jumping to any crazy conclusions but I don’t care what happens there’s some things Nimah wont take.
“So you coming to my friends thing then?”
“Errm, yeah we’ll come… Don’t try anything you know.”
“Try what?”
“Don’t play dumb… Just know that I wont have to call Christian, I’ll merk you myself.”
Did I just say merk? I was crying, laughing in my head.
“Did you just say merk?”
Both of us burst out laughing.
“Don’t forget though.”
“Why females always think guys want to get them in bed?”
“Cause you do.”
“We do think about other things you know.”
“Like?”
“Like school, football, women…Crumbs.”
“See what I'm saying.”
He chuckled.
“Well anyways babes...” I shot him the hardest look. “…Nimah, I’ll phone you later yeah? I wont tell you how I got your number, so don’t bother to ask.” He smiled.
Kiss my teeth.
I stood up and brushed the back of my clothes.
Class will finish shortly so I’ll call Bianca and Josie soon.
I wonder if Christian’s here today. I don’t want to be a detective but I think I will have to assume that role until things get cleared up.I don’t care people who say you shouldn’t check up on your man have checked up on theirs at some point. I'm not crazy controlling, but the truth is sometimes you have to find out for yourself what your partner wont tell you.
If they’re doing something they know is wrong, will they tell you? NO.
So am I just supposed to sit around like a fool waiting for them to own up. NO again.
Like I said I'm not crazy controlling, but a girls got to do what a girls got to do.
Men would be lying if they said they never did a little check of their own.
I took short strides across the grassy front. No-one was around really, the lawn was spotted with a few people. I wonder if this college has a lot of girls like Mouline Rouge, I haven’t been here all that long but I haven’t really come across much drama.
I guess I'm fortunate.
How long will my good fortune last, is the question. My boyfriend’s name is Christian. From the first day I came people already didn’t like me. I'm fooling myself if I think I'm going to get it easy.
I turned the corner around the large building and traipsed into the lifeless car-park.
There’s no-one around. I suppose that’s a good thing, because that means Christian wont be here to catch me spying on him, and no-one else is here to go and tell Christian I'm spying on him.
His car was there parked in its usual place.
I turned around and followed the way I came.
What is going on here?
I went in my pocket to take out my phone.
Am I being taken for a fool now? I wont be having this.
“Looking for Christian?”
I jumped and slowly turned around.
This tall shapely frame stood before me, does she have to wear heals everyday?
“What do you want?” I said still dipping down into my pocket for my phone.
“You should answer me that.”
“He’s my man, I can look for him if that’s what I want to do!” I snapped back.
“Why do you keep saying that? Like you’re trying to convince yourself of it.”
“Miranda what the hell do you want? Why are you behind me all the time?”
“I want for you to just quit the games and leave Christian alone. Leave Christian for females who are worthy.”
Just then a familiar face walked up behind her. Where do I know this face from. I hope he says his name so that I wont look stupid.
“Nimah, right?” he questioned.
“How do you know her?” Miranda shrieked.
“Long story.”
“How do you know Miranda?” I asked.
“She’s my g…”
“Friend.” Miranda interrupted.
